As part of activities marking the one year anniversary of the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd, the Emohua Local Government Council on Saturday held a campaign against drug abuse at Elele-Alimini roundabout along the East-West road, to sensitize the people on the dangers associated with the consumption of illicit drugs.
The campaign tagged; Advocacy on the ills of Drug Abuse featured comedy, drama on the negative effect of drug abuse to the society, with keynote speeches from the representatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, heads of security agencies and officers of the council.
Participants at the event include youth groups, student bodies, traditional rulers and women groups.
The event was chaired by the vice chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon Mrs Edna Nyeche, with popular comedians Danny Spry and MC JP as guest artists.
